Piers Morgan said his interview with Chris Eubank next week involves one of the "most powerful moments" in Life Stories history.
Appearing on The One Show, Piers spoke about his upcoming chat with the former professional boxer, 54, which involves Chris reflecting on his infamous 1991 match with Michael Watson.
Michael was left with a nearly-fatal brain injury after Chris delivered an uppercut in the ring, causing him to fall back and hit the back of his head against the ropes.
Michael's boxing career was cut short after spending 40 days in a coma and having six operations to remove a blood clot.
In a clip from next Thursday's episode, Chris in seen breaking down in tears and telling Michael that he is sorry.
Speaking to host Alex Jones, Piers said: "It was the most powerful moment of any Life Stories episode ever.
"We're up to 100 shows in this series but that one, that moment next week, you have these two great warriors who fought and Michael Watson - he nearly died, he was in a coma for 40 days, in a wheelchair for six years.
"Now made an extraordinary comeback.
"It was so touching to see these two great men, who'd fought each other for the world title and then been defined for what happened in the aftermath, sharing that emotion together.
"It was spine-tingling."
Chris - who lives in Hove - will also talk about his teenage years as a shoplifter, divorce, bankruptcy, his legendary victory in 1990 over fierce rival Nigel Benn, and the success of his son, Chris Eubank Jr.
Watson joined Piers and Chris in the audience for the tell-all interview, which is set to air on Thursday.
What happened with Eubank and Watson?
Watson, 51, was critically injured in a WBO super-middleweight title fight against Eubank Sr in September 1991.
There was no ambulance or doctor at that fight and it was several minutes before Watson received any treatment.
He spent 40 days in a coma and had six brain operations, leaving him with irreparable brain damage and partially paralysed.
The new Life Stories series will feature award-winning actor and writer Rupert Everett, daytime TV queen Trisha Goddard, singer and Loose Woman Coleen Nolan and reality TV diva Gemma Collins.
Previous guests on the show have included Sir Elton John, Sir Cliff Richard, Kim Cattrall, Sir Rod Stewart, Mary Berry, Sir Richard Branson, Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell, Nigel Farage, Mel B, James Corden, Dame Joan Collins, Sir Captain Tom Moore, Gordon Brown when he was Prime Minister, Sir Mo Farah and Lionel Richie.
