FIRE crews were called to a town centre street after youths were seen on the roof of a building.
Emergency vehicles filled South Street, Worthing, at about 7pm.
A fire engine was filmed using an aerial ladder platform to access the upper floors of properties in the street.
The appliance was also seen using the aerial ladder platform to access the roof of a property above the WH Smith store in the street.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "Yesterday West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to a rescue from height in Montague Street, Worthing.
"The aerial ladder platform from Worthing was sent and on arrival youths were on the roof of the building.
"No action was taken and crews left the scene at 7.48pm.
"Sussex Police were also in attendance."
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
