Nearly two-thirds of couples will be celebrating Valentine's Day with a movie night, the latest study shows. 

Perhaps for the first time ever, minimal effort for Valentine's is encouraged and you don't even need to be in a relationship to celebrate anymore. 

Simply stay in your pyjamas, grab some popcorn and stick on one of the city's favourite romantic movies to get yourself in the loving mood. 

Movie experts Wevu analysed online search data to find out what films the people of Brighton have been most searching for. 

The study shows that Little Women released in 2019 has been the most popular romance movie of the last year. 

Call Me By Your Name was a close second on the list.

The film tells the tale of a heady summer romance and follows 17-year-old Oliver who spends his summer in a 17th Century villa in Italy where he meets Elio. 

A bit of a raunchy bunch, some of Brighton's most loved romance films include Dirty Dancing, Moulin Rouge and of course the entire Fifty Shades trilogy. 

Some of the more surprising on the list include Slumdog Millionaire, Salmon Fishing In The Yemen and Calamity Jane.

Don't worry if you've recently gone through a break-up, all of the Bridget Jones movies are on the list too - so get the litre tub of ice cream at the ready.
