THIS seems a rather unconventional way to transport your children, even allowing for the fact there was less traffic on the roads in 1929.
The picture of a couple cycling along the road with a baby suspended between them is another nugget from the Argus archives, showing life in Brighton decades ago.
It is not clear exactly where it was taken.
There are two fantastic pictures, also dated around 1929, which show children having a ball at The Level in Brighton.
That giant slide looks particularly hair-raising.
There were more serious goings-on in New England Street.
The Economic League, a right wing pressure group, was formed in 1919 and drew up blacklists of individuals and organisations they considered a threat, especially to the building trade.
These wonderful pictures have been colourised at www.spcolourcollection.com.
