TODAY we have reported on two very different men who have captured headlines in The Argus.
We have reported on how Iftekhar Khondaker murdered Suel Delgado just months after being released from prison for committing a very similar offence.
His case is alarming because it begs the question, should he really have been free to commit yet another despicable crime that has caused devastation?
There is rightly great concern about soft sentences for criminals in the UK, and many readers will tell us the old cliche that a leopard doesn't change its spots.
So how different is it to report on the example shown by personal trainer Jason Frost?
Like Khondaker, he was previously jailed for inflicting grievous bodily harm and at the age of 21 found himself homeless and destitute after his release from prison.
But now he has built his own personal training business called Brighton Bodycoach from the ground up, and was seen giving training at Hove Lawns this summer. His next venture is to launch his gym Fit Box in Church Road, Hove.

In stark contrast to Khondaker, he has served his time, and through his determination is helping others in the city with his own business.
It shows that sometimes, people are worth giving a second chance to.
