A DRUNKEN vandal hurled an advertising board during a city centre tirade.
Glaistor Neil Duncan was drunk and disorderly in Air Street Brighton.
He attempted to assault PC Daniel Grant and used threatening and abusive behaviour.
Brighton Magistrates’ Court heard how Duncan had “wantonly” threw or discharged a missile, namely an A-board advertisement.
The 53-year-old, of Marine Parade, Eastbourne, admitted the charges, which related to an incident in February 2020.
Duncan was also in breach of a suspended sentence imposed for two counts of stealing from cars, two burglaries, possessing cannabis, and exposing his genitals.
He was given a conditional discharge because he has nearly completed the previous court orders made in October 2018.
Duncan is now abstinent from alcohol and is more “focussed” on getting his life back on track.
He was given a conditional discharge for 18 months, but must pay a £120 fine and £120 compensation to the officer.
