A MAN has been arrested after armed police were called to a railway station over reports of a knifeman.
Police received reports of an altercation involving a group of four men at Portslade railway station at 3.40pm yesterday.
One man was said to have a knife and the group made off in different directions.

Enquires have led police to arrest a 20-year-old from Portslade on suspicion of affray.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "It is believed the group is known to each other and there is not thought to be any threat to the wider public.
"Enquiries led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man from Portslade. He was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody at this stage.
"No injuries were reported."
Images from the scene show Sussex Police cars blocking Station Road, Portslade, while armed officers stood in the street.
It is believed the group is known to each other and there is not thought to be any threat to the wider public.
