ARMED police are responding to reports of a man in possession of a knife following a group "altercation" at a railway station.
Police received reports of an altercation involving a group of four males at Portslade railway station at 3.40pm.
One man was said to be in possession of a knife.
It is understood the group made off in different directions.

A spokesman from the force said: "Police received a report of an altercation involving a group of four males at Portslade railway station at 3.40pm on Thursday.

"It is believed the group is known to each other and there is not thought to be any threat to the wider public.
"This incident is ongoing and no further information is currently available."
