Enter Gallery, Brighton hosts virtual display of rare prints

The Rare Print Show includes artwork from leading artists including Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and Robert Indiana.

The virtual showcase is being hosted by the Enter Gallery in Bond Street, Brighton, on Friday, January 29.

Tracey Emin’s poignant drawing I Kept Thinking of You is among the pieces being put on display.

Created for her 2016 exhibition at the White Cube in Hong Kong, Tracey described the artwork as a personification of “the dull ache of loneliness, the complexity of desire, and the bitterness and pain of separation and loss.”

The work of American artist Robert Indiana will also be feature.

His renowned pop art image ‘Love’, which has been displayed around the world, will now be showcased to a virtual audience.

Turner Prize wining artist Damien Hirst has also lent a print from his Death and Glory installation at the Paul Stolper gallery in London to the exhibition.

It will be accompanied by his work, Picolinic Acid, a spot painting from 2012.

Straight from the artist’s studio, each print is either an artist proof, a one-off edition or a hand-finished print from the artist’s personal collection.

A spokeswoman from the gallery said the event will be “a unique opportunity to own something truly special and valuable.”

The gallery is currently closed. However, it continues to showcase artwork online in the hope it will continue to inspire art lovers and support artists.

Enter Gallery’s chief executive Lawrence Alkin said: “Art has the power to bring joy, comfort and escapism during hard times. We want our customers to know we are still here for them online”.

It held its annual Art Yard Sale virtually, with all the proceeds going to Survivor Network, a charity supporting sex abuse victims.
