THERE has been 35 more coronavirus deaths in Sussex, according to the latest figures.
Data from NHS England shows ten more deaths were recorded by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust as of 5pm on Thursday.
The trust is responsible for the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.
Figures show 333 people have now lost their lives to the virus in these hospitals, since the pandemic began.
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust recorded 13 more fatalities over the period, bringing its total death toll to 464.
The number of Covid-19 deaths at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has now surpassed 300, with 12 fatalities reported as of 5pm on Thursday. It brings the total number of deaths at the trust to 309.
Across Sussex, 1,252 new cases were confirmed as of 9am yesterday, compared with 1,098 the previous day.
In Brighton and Hove, 210 new cases were confirmed, compared with 171 the previous day. It means 12,321 people have tested positive in the city since Covid-19 hit.
In East Sussex there were 472 new cases reported, compared with 392 the previous day. It brings the total figure to 26,099.
There were 570 new cases confirmed in West Sussex, compared with 535 the previous day. It means 33,156 have tested positive in the county.
Across the UK, cases increased by 40,261, bringing the total figure to 3,583,907.
There were 1,401 more fatalities reported nationally, bringing the UK death toll to 95,981.
