THREE people in Brighton and Hove have died in their own homes with Covid, official figures show.
Data from the Office of National Statistics, broken down by week, reveal where people in the city have died with the disease.
There were 213 Covid Brighton and Hove deaths which happened in 2020 and were registered up to January 9.
Of those, 76 were in a care home, 11 were in a hospice and 123 were in hospitals.
Out of the three which were recorded as happening at home, one happened in April, another in August, and one in November.
The figures come as Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned there will be “tough weeks to come” as the UK recorded its highest daily numbers of coronavirus deaths.
On Wednesday, government figures showed that a further 1,820 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test.
The record-breaking number made the total number of deaths by that measure 93,290.
Mr Johnson warned there is now a "race against time" to vaccinate the vulnerable.
