STORM Christoph blew a tree onto a railway line bringing services to a halt.
Crews with chainsaws were called to Pevensey and Westham Station shortly at about 11pm last night after a tree on the platform toppled over.
Services were unable to run between Eastbourne and Bexhill as workers “removed the tree from the line” and assessed the damage.
A spokesman confirmed the tree had been removed at about 11.30pm, however alterations to services remained in place.
“Thanks for your patience tonight, as lines between Eastbourne and Bexhill were shut for a while due to a tree falling down in high winds,” said the spokesman.
All disruption had ended by about 1am.
If you were delayed by more than 15 minutes, you can claim delay repay compensation.
