SEVERAL staff members at a Tesco store have tested positive for coronavirus.
The supermarket chain says a "small number" of employees at the site have contracted the disease and "the relevant precautions" have been taken.
A Tesco spokeswoman said: "A small number of colleagues at our Shoreham Extra store have tested positive for Covid-19.
"Their close contacts have been informed.
"The safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers remains our number one priority and we are working with local public health authorities, following all government guidance and taking the relevant precautions.
"We have extensive measures across all of our stores to help keep everyone safe, including protective screens at every checkout, social distancing signage and regular cleaning."
There are reports that several other staff members at the site are self-isolating.

Tesco said no further detail would be provided, but the supermarket chain follows all public health guidance, and track and trace requirements.
Tesco is one of several UK supermarket chains to tighten its rules regarding face coverings recently.
Customers will be stopped from entering stores unless they are medically exempt.
A Tesco spokesman said: "Our colleagues are working hard in difficult circumstances to make sure everyone can get what they need, and we’d ask everyone to please be kind, patient and respectful as we all work to keep each other safe."
