Welcome to our latest pictures of Argus readers’ fabulous pets.
Dogs definitely rule today – though a couple of cats have crept in – with lots of people telling us how they have remained sane throughout lockdown thanks to their daily walks together.
This picture perfect pair are Molly and Marmite, owned by Scott and Emma Callister. Scott said: ‘They are keeping us sane during lockdown going for walks every day’
This is Welsh Pembroke corgi Primrose, who lives in Hove with owner Gina Glockler. Primrose, who has been in the family for four years, loves walking along the beach near her home
White German shepherd Missy and Arthur McArthur Pumpkin Pie the ginger cat belong to Tamzin Plank of Saltdean
Debra Annetts, from Brighton, says her black and white cat Wrex is half feral. However, he does like his creature comforts, particularly sitting on people’s backs
Sweet little Poppy is owned by Jonathan Thyer of Oxford Street, Brighton. She is six months old and is a Jack Russell cross
Teresa Jackson, from Hastings, is rightly proud of her two handsome dogs. First is Bingo, who is nearly 14. He is a ‘shollie’, which is a German shepherd collie cross, and loves nothing more than food and playing with a ball. Teresa said it is very rare to see him not carrying two balls – as he is here.
Then there's Alba, who joined the family nearly two years ago. She is almost nine years old and is a border collie who enjoys games of fetch and getting as muddy as possible
Argus gardening expert Geoff Stonebanks, of Seaford, sent us this great picture of his dog Chester photobombing his 93-year-old mother Barbara. Chester was rescued from The Azores in December 2019 and Geoff said: ‘Little did we know it would be just in time for lockdown year. He has been our sanity and joy throughout’
Springer spaniels Alfie and Meg wait patiently for their treats. They are mother and son and have lived with owner Sue Ivatt of Saltdean for 11 years. She said Alfie is the mischievous one, who will search for food, including jumping up on the side, and playing ball. Meg is very loyal and will barely leave your side. She looks after Alfie and is constantly washing him
Sue Lockyer, from Worthing, owns these three characterful terriers, Teddy, Toby and Tinky
Treacle-Rupert, a mix of house cat and Main Coon, is seven months old and moved in with owner Toni Bate, of Brighton, when she was just six weeks. She likes playing with cuddly toys
Let sleeping dogs lie... Richard Voiello, of Portslade, has had pedigree boxers Bruno and Max since they were two and they are now 11. Richard said he is unwell but Bruno is still looking after him during lockdown, even though he is ill too. Richard said: ‘We are all enjoying our afternoon rest on the sofa before we go out for our once-a-day walk at night’
Bertie and Busta know how to enjoy a party. The pair are owned by Diane Pickett of Brighton. Bertie is used to the spotlight – a couple of years ago he played Rufus in Legally Blonde at the Theatre Royal, Brighton
