WHEN I was a child, if I did wrong there were consequences. Whether it was from my mother, or from teachers at school, there were consequences!

Why is it that now we are faced with the greatest threat that the world has seen since the Second World War, people are posting online saying that Covid is a fraud, and people are threatening shop assistants and NHS staff with violence when they are asked politely to wear a mask, and all this with impunity?

During the war, if people tried to undermine the state, they were charged with sedition and imprisoned.

Now it seems anyone can say whatever they like to undermine efforts to beat this dreadful disease.

Freedom of speech comes with responsibilities, you CANNOT say whatever you like with impunity! During the height of the Aids scare in the 1980s, it became a criminal offence to knowingly infect someone so why is that not the case with Covid-19?

Anyone not wearing a mask when it is appropriate to do so should be charged and heavily punished by a very large fine and or imprisonment.

Until such steps are taken, nothing will improve very quickly and more loved ones will be lost.

These selfish ignorant people should be made to pay heavily. Sedition and violence, just like that we have seen in America recently, should not go unpunished.
