A MOTORWAY has been closed by police due to a medical incident.
Officers from the Sussex Roads Policing Unit are currently at the scene of the incident on the M23, near Gatwick Airport.

The carriageway is set to be "closed for some time".
A spokesman for the force said: "The M23 is closed northbound between junction eight and junction nine this morning while emergency services deal with a medical incident on the carriageway.
"The road is expected to remain closed for some time, and motorists are asked to please avoid the area if possible."
The AA has reported that there is slow traffic in the area as a result of the road closure.
UPDATE
At 1.15pm, a Sussex Police spokesman said: "The M23 has now reopened following the earlier closure between junctions eight and nine.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while the matter was dealt with."
