A PRISONER has been found dead in his cell.
Police officers were called to HM Lewes Prison at 9.51am on Monday, January 4, where 23-year-old Chandler Bailey was found to have died.
A spokesman for the force said: "On January 4, police were called to HM Prison, Lewes, where a 23-year-old man had been discovered dead in his cell.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and the matter has been passed to the coroner’s officer.”
A prison service spokesman said the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman has been informed.
