A NEW Covid-19 testing unit opened in Newhaven today.
The temporary site can be found at the Lower Place car park and will stay open until Wednesday.
NHS guidance states that people can receive a free coronavirus test if one of the following applies:
- They have a high temperature
- They have a new, continuous cough
- They have lost their sense of smell or taste, or it has changed
- They have been asked to get a test by a local council
- They are taking part in a government pilot project
- They have been asked to get a test to confirm a positive result
- Someone they live with has coronavirus symptoms
A Covid-19 mobile testing unit will be at Lower Place car park in Newhaven from tomorrow (Monday 11th January) to Wednesday 13th January.

The NHS website states: "If you have symptoms, get a test as soon as possible.
"...You need to get the test done in the first 8 days of having symptoms."
