A WOMAN has been caught on video pulling a dog in Hove.

A passerby captured the moment when the woman, wearing a winter coat with her hood up, dragged a dog by its back hair across a tennis court.

In the film the woman can be seen forcefully pulling the dog's lead, pulling its head towards her.

She then grabs the dog by the fur and lifts it off the ground, before kicking the animal.

The small dog can be seen to roll over onto its back as the woman pushes it.

Horrified Facebook users were quick to criticise the woman's actions.

One Facebook user said: "For goodness sake can’t someone take the poor dog off her. If I was there I would have called the police, also she should not have a dog or any pet."

While another described the woman as a "vile human".

The Argus has contacted Sussex Police for comment.
