THE chief executive of the Sussex Community Foundation has offered his thanks to everyone who has donated to the Sussex Crisis Fund so far.
Kevin Richmond, pictured, said the organisation’s role is to make sure charities can respond to an increased demand for service as Covid-19 has had a dramatic effect on people’s finances, their relationships and mental health.
He said: “I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to the Sussex Crisis Fund or to any local charity this year, especially The Argus and American Express, who kickstarted the fund.
“We are forever grateful.
“And thank you to the thousands of volunteers and staff in charities who have done amazing things to see us all through this crisis so far.
“We have given out £2.6 million in grants to support the herculean efforts of charities.
“We would not have been able to do it without your support.”
