CONSERVATIVE MP Maria Caulfield received £20,000 in donations this year, it has been revealed.
The Lewes MP was paid £17,500 in donations from three private donors.
According to the House of Commons Register of Financial interests, the largest of these donations came from Jonathan Ball, who paid £10,000 to the politician.
Other donations included £2,500 from James Gibson and £5,000 from Mark Bamford.
Ms Caulfield, above, received £2,500 from the Carlton Club, the register states.
She was also paid £4,167.86 for her role as a registered
nurse at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
Ms Caulfield told The Argus that the donations were to the Conservative Party.
She said: “These were donations for the general election last year. They were not donated to me personally but to the Lewes Conservatives but I still have to declare them on my register of members interest in case of a conflict of interest but I can confirm I never personally received any money.”
