A 90-YEAR-OLD motorist crashed into another car, sending it careering towards an Age UK shop.

The pensioner smashed into the parked car, which hit a lamp post before and came to a rest in the doorway of the shop in Broad Street, Seaford, Wednesday.

The driver was said to be “understandably shaken up” as concerned onlookers took him to another shop to sit down after the 11.23am crash.

Sussex Police said the pensioner driver was unhurt.

A spokesman for the force said: “At 11.23am on Wednesday, we received a report that a parked and unoccupied car had been hit by another car in Broad Street, Seaford, and had gone into a shop doorway having collided with a lamp post.

“The car stopped in the doorway and did not go into the window.

“The 90-year-old man driving the other car was unhurt.”
