GP SURGERIES around the county will reportedly offer the new Covid-19 vaccine.
Eleven practices in Sussex will be providing the jab from next week, according to the BBC, although it is not yet known which ones.
Hundreds of people were vaccinated at 70 hospital hubs across the UK yesterday – dubbed “V-Day” by Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
Among the first to receive the life-saving jab were patients aged 80 and above who were already attending hospital as an outpatient and those who were being discharged home after a hospital stay.

Teresa Shakeer, 87, who lives in Danny Sheldon retirement accommodation in Eastern Road, Brighton, was one of the first people in the world to receive the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.
She was given the injection at the vaccination clinic in the Barry Building at the Royal Sussex County Hospital on yesterday afternoon.
The Government’s chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance has said the UK is unlikely to get back to a semblance of normality before spring, and that we might still need face masks next winter.
