PEOPLE in East Sussex woke up to an unexpected dusting of snow this morning.
The white stuff covered gardens, cars and driveways in Battle as temperatures in the town dropped to just above freezing.

Paul Dodd captured this wintry scene (below) from his home in Battle.
Jonathan also photographed the fresh snow in the town (below).
However, he said that travelling westwards from Battle to Brighton the snow soon turned to flooding, with surface water causing delays on the A27 near Lewes this morning.
The Met Office issued a weather warning for rain and snow shortly before 5am this morning.
It covered areas in the far east of Sussex near Robertsbridge and Crowborough.
However, it has since been moved to cover an area over Cambridge, not venturing as far south as London.
