A RAFFLE for a stunning £800,000 flat could “change someone’s life”, says the owner of the property.
The stunning apartment in Palmeira Square, Hove, is the one and only trophy in a prize draw aiming to raise £100,000 for the children’s charity Rockinghorse.
People across the city, especially the young, are being encouraged to buy tickets which cost £2, just 0.00025 per cent of the £800,000 asking price.
The current owner of the flat, Fiona Koderisch, said young adults were paying “a fortune” in rent and the raffle is an opportunity to change their life.
She said: “Now more than ever, young people are struggling to move out of their parents’ house until they are in their late 20s, or they’re paying a fortune to rent somewhere.
“This raffle could change a young individual’s life by making them the owner of such a beautiful flat and living in one of the most fun and youthful cities in England.”
The three-bedroom flat in the Grade II listed Rochester Mansions building is a short walk from the beach and also offers the prospective winner a wealth of period features including a grand pillared entrance.
There are high ceilings and oak floors, with a spacious reception room and bright kitchen offering vistas of both the bustling city and serene seafront.
Other features include a free-standing bath in one bathroom and an en-suite shower room which is accessible from the master bedroom.
One ticket buyer told the owner: “I think what you’re doing for the charity is amazing. What a great way to raise money for them.
“This could change someone’s life for ever and you would be responsible for that.
“Absolutely amazing. I’ve bought tickets – who knows, it might be my life that’s changed for the better and if not, I know I’ve donated to an amazing cause.”
From each ticket bought, ten per cent will be donated to Rockinghorse Children’s Charity in Brighton, which provides vital support to the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in the city as well as providing a great number of other services to support sick children across Sussex. This would mean more than £100,000 would be given to the charity, which has lost £50,000 in funding during the coronavirus crisis.
Tickets can be bought from the Win My Dream Brighton Home website >> Www.winmydreambrightonhome.co.uk
Entrants will have to answer a quiz question after buying their ticket, with all those who give the correct answer being placed into the prize draw - meaning they are in with a chance of winning the plush apartment
