A PUBLIC toilet has been closed after "falling into disrepair and becoming unsafe to use".
Brighton and Hove City Council said it has had to shut the male cabin toilet on Brighton seafront.
The site was heavily used over the summer, when large queues of beachgoers regularly stretched away from the entrance.
But its condition has since deteriorated, forcing the council to close the site.
A council spokesman said: "Unfortunately, we've had to close the male cabin toilet on the seafront near the Shelter Hall.
"The cabin was falling into disrepair and becoming unsafe to use.
"The female loos will now temporarily be 'toilets for everyone' until the new Shelter Hall toilets open.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this causes."
