YESTERDAY, pubs closed their doors for the final time ahead of the second UK lockdown.
The heightened restrictions came into effect at midnight, meaning hospitality venues such as cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars and social clubs must now remain shut until December 2.
Pubs and bars had previously been operating under a 10pm curfew, imposed by the government in an attempt to stop the rising spread of coronavirus.

Many people in Brighton and Hove took the opportunity to visit their favourite haunts and drinking holes one last time ahead of the enforced four-week closure.
As sites shut shortly before 10pm, hundreds of people poured on to the city's streets.
Over the next hour, there were scuffles in North Street and singalongs in West Street as some revellers continued to party on the pavement.
