HOMES are flooded and roads are closed after a burst water main sent water cascading across a roundabout.
There is slow traffic as a result of the large amount of water on the road at the Breezehurst Roundabout in Broadfield, near Crawley.
An AA traffic report states: "There is slow traffic due to flooding and a burst water main on the A2220 Horsham Road both ways between Broadfield Drive (Broadfield Roundabout) and the A264.
Firefighters and police are on the scene.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "Please avoid Horsham Road and Cheals roundabout area of Crawley.
"A water main has burst on the Horsham Road roundabout, at the junction with Pelham Drive and Breezehurst Drive.

"Traffic is building. Firefighters are dealing with flooded properties. Southern Water team is at the scene."
Mid Sussex Police said officers were in attendance to assist fire crews.
In an update posted on social media, the service said: "Burst water main mayhem. Give it a miss if you can, lots of road closures on."
Water company Southern Water has "apologised for any inconvenience this is causing" and said staff are "working swiftly to fix it".
