THOUSANDS joined a protest march through the city as part of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Marchers were seen in Queen’s Road and West Street in Brighton city centre for the demonstration.
Campaigners are continuing to raise awareness of racism in the UK and abroad. Pictures by Jamie Lashmar show people waving placards and some making speeches with loudspeakers.
The movement was originally sparked by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in the United States in May. It sparked global protests.
In Brighton, there were protests in May, June, July, and again last month.
As many as 10,000 attended one of the largest demonstrations in June to raise their concerns in the city.
There were delays to buses, and police ensured people’s safety.
