BRIGHTON and Hove is the top location of choice for Londoners hoping to move out of the capital.
According to a new study, 60 per cent of workers in London said they are reconsidering their living situation and seeking a better quality of life due to the coronavirus crisis.
Brighton and Hove proved to be the most popular destination, with 30 per cent naming it their top choice to move to.
The research commissioned by online lettings agent Mashroom found 43 per cent are craving cheaper living costs, while 42 per cent said they wanted to be by the seaside.
Mashroom’s Stepan Dobrovolskiy said: “As employers open up to remote working as the new way of life, millions of renters are reconsidering their living conditions.
“It’s no surprise so many are craving an escape to the coast or countryside, as London’s bright lights have dimmed over the past 6 months as restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues have been shut or operating at a limited capacity.”
