EX-BOXING world champion Chris Eubank rushed to the aid of a woman struck down by a car.
In a bizarre coincidence, the 54-year-old former Hove resident was joined by heavyweight legend David Haye, 39, who happened to be in the same street.
The pair teamed up to look after the injured middle-aged woman at the Albert Embankment in London.
Mr Eubank – who used to live in Upper Drive, Hove – was first on the scene.
He said he pulled over in his convertible Rolls Royce Wraith after hearing a “loud bang”.
He comforted the woman and flagged down an ambulance, but was modest about his role.
He told The Sun he had just been doing his “civic duty”.
Mr Haye said by the time he arrived “Chris had everything under control”.
