BLUE badge holders are being urged to check their parking permit expiry dates as a temporary scheme is coming to an end.
Blue badges allow people with visible and hidden disabilities to park close to their destinations to provide easier access to goods and services.
After the coronavirus pandemic hit earlier this year, West Sussex County Council advised district and borough councils to relax the rules on parking permits and not issue fines to anyone using a blue badge with an expiry date between January 1 and September 30.
This relaxation of the rules will end on September 30.
Anyone using a blue badge which is out of date may be issued with a penalty charge notice.
Blue badge holders with an expiry date coming up before the end of the month are advised to apply for a new badge as soon as possible at westsussex.gov.uk/bluebadge.
