BIG names have been confirmed for a new Brighton beach venue.

The Warren Outdoors, east of the Palace Pier, has added several well-known faces from TV to its late-summer line up.

The Mock The Week, Live at The Apollo and The Last Leg stars – who were unable to perform while theatres remained closed during lockdown – will appear at the purpose-built outdoor site.

Comedian and Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh will appear on September 5 and his fellow comic Russell Kane will perform on September 11.

Sara Pascoe, from Live At The Apollo, Stand Up For The Week and Have I Got News for You fame, will be performing a new, work-in progress show on September 14.

Luisia Omelian, from Am I Right Ladies? and What Would Beyonce Do? brings her new show God Is A Woman to the venue on September 18.

NHS doctor-turned-bestselling author and comic Adam Kay performs his West End show This Is Going To Hurt on September 25.

Tickets went on sale on August 21 and can be bought by visiting www.otherplacebrighton.co.uk.

The site, which seats up to 300 people on tables seated two meters apart, opened in Madeira Drive on August 5.

It has already hosted famous names including Jimmy Carr – who will be performing another two shows on September 27 – and Milton Jones.

Rachel Parris, Marcus Brigstocke and Paul Sinha will also be appearing in the coming weeks.

Artistic director Nicola Haydn said she is “thrilled” to confirm the latest raft of new shows.

She said; “We have had a great response to The Warren Outdoor Season, both from audiences and from acts, who love being able to perform in public again after months in lockdown.

“We’re really proud of the programme we’ve put together – and it just keeps getting better”.

The Warren Outdoor season will run until September 27.

Tables for each performance are sold in ‘sessions’ and each session includes 15 minutes either side of the performance time to allow for arrival and leaving time.

Evening sessions are 90 minutes long for a one hour performance and morning sessions are 75 minutes long for a 45 – 50 minute family show.

Tables seat up to 6 people, but you do not need to have that many to book.

There are 2 wheelchair accessible tables.

You will need to tell the box office at the time of booking if you require one of these.

You can contact the box office on access@otherplacebrighton.co.uk and a member of the team will contact you to book your table.

Speaking about planning ahead for the weather, a spokesman for the venue said to be ready for all possibilities at the beach.

He said: “It’s best to come prepared for all types of weather: bringing your own shade in the afternoon is particularly important as is a jumper for the end of evening performances when the evenings start drawing in.

So sun hats, sun cream, sunglasses, raincoats and rain hats should all be considered.”

“Although we anticipate the majority of performances being completed, as the auditorium and stage are completely uncovered, we may have to stop and re-start the show.”
