A YOUNG boy apologised to police officers who were called to deal with his ‘extremely drunk’ mum.
A team from Mid Sussex Police was called to deal with the incident yesterday.
Mid Sussex prevention inspector Darren Taylor said: “Our team supported British Transport Police colleagues yesterday (in dealing) with an extremely drunk female with her son on a train at Haywards Heath.
“She was arrested and safeguarding was put around the young child.”
He added: “The really sad thing was the child kept apologising to the team about his mum’s behaviour.”
