A PUB has been repeatedly set alight in a series of targeted incidents, police believe.
Officers are investigating after a fierce blaze raged at the Alexandra Arms in Seaside, Eastbourne, at 1am today.
This is the third fire at the site in two weeks, with two further infernos reported in the small hours of July 2 and July 8.
Sussex Police are now treating the fires as deliberate and “a linked series”.
There have been no injuries reported as a result of the blazes.
Detectives looking into the fires are now appealing for further information to establish the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
They are particularly keen to speak to “any members of the public who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time, including any persons seen to take particular interest in the Alexandra Arms”.
Sussex Police have also identified three suspects as part of its ongoing investigation.
A spokesman for the force said: “One suspect is described as a white man, of slim build, wearing a grey and white hooded top, and grey and white tracksuit bottoms.
“Two other suspects are described as wearing dark clothing.
“Anyone who witnessed any of the fires, or who may have any other relevant information, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 130 of 07/11.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
