ASDA has been named the safest supermarket to shop at during the coronavirus crisis.
Analysis by trade magazine The Grocer found Asda had the highest average score after spot checks at stores including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl.
Researchers looked at measures such as signage, one-way systems and hand sanitiser. Asda was the only big four supermarket to score 100 per cent for applying one-way systems, checkout screens and maintaining social distancing at the tills.
