A SEAFRONT sports venue has gained solar power.

Yellowave, in Madeira Drive, Brighton, installed the panels this spring in a bid to become “as sustainable as possible”.

Katie Mintram, Yellowave director, said: “We are perfectly placed to use the power of the sun to create electricity for the venue.

“When there’s not enough sunshine the system tops up with 100 per cent renewable energy.

“It feels great to be heading towards being a carbon neutral business.”
