A FIRM is offering to deliver dragon fruit, wet garlic and purple asparagus to customers amid the coronavirus lockdown.
The bespoke food supplier 4DegreesC usually caters for Michelin-starred restaurants and cutting-edge chefs across the country.
But after restaurants closed to curb the spread of Covid-19 in March, it set up a home delivery service called Osolocal2u and will now be ferrying top-shelf groceries to people in Brighton.
The new service offers seasonal fruit and vegetables, milk, cheese and eggs and staples alongside more specialist produce, fresh pastas, sauces and deli items, from charcuterie to antipasti.
Different products are added to the website every week.
This includes exotic fruit and vegetables from dragon fruit and purple-flesh sweet potatoes to seasonal produce including white courgettes, Norfolk-grown purple asparagus, and “wet” or un-dried garlic.
The firm is also donating food to NHS ambulance staff.
You can order online at osolocal2u.com.
