A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed for her latest string of offences.
Kirsten Hocking, 28, had been ordered not to enter Worthing and steal from shops.
But during the lockdown she took beauty products and clothes worth nearly £1,000 from Boots at the Downland Business Park in Broadwater.
She also stole meat from a Co-op in Manor Parade, Salvington.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court she admitted the two thefts and two breaches of a community protection notice.
Hocking, of The Steyne, Worthing, also admitted shoplifting at Marks and Spencer and New Look in Montague Street in February and stealing £150 worth of food from a Spar store in Heene Road in January.
District Judge Amanda Kelly jailed Hocking for six months.
The judge noted that Hocking’s crimes were “persistent” and that Hocking was simply “not manageable in the community”.
She was previously jailed last year for shoplifting. Hocking was also ordered to pay a £122 surcharge.
