A CHINOOK helicopter was seen flying in the skies above Sussex.
The military aircraft was spotted over the county at around 10.30am on Tuesday.
Within minutes dozens of other residents said they also spotted the helicopter in Haywards Heath and Lancing.
It is understood the aircraft was called to provide assistance to the NHS effort to combat coronavirus.
Chinook helicopters are used for heavy-lifting and transportation by the armed forces.
Last week one was seen over Gatwick as it flew into the airport.
