WE ALL have to take the current situation seriously.
We are being advised that we can go out if we are not in the at-risk groups and exercise is good. But far too many people have been out in shops mixing with others than is necessary.
Staff at some shops were reducing the numbers of shoppers they were letting in yesterday - the responsible thing to prevent people being in close proximity to each other inside.
There were queues at places like B&Q though. Was it necessary for all those people to go there? What essential items do they sell there?
It feels at the moment like we are treating this a little like we treat climate change.
any of us refusing to change our life until the reality is staring at is in the face.
But we must take this seriously and socially distance ourselves from others - staying two metres away. Many of us will feel fine today but the symptoms may take longer to establish. Let’s hope that we do not have too many people who went out mixing with others who will regret it later this week and next week when they begin to feel ill.
It is time to take the advice and all necessary precautions.
We must not ask our older relatives to look after children and if you are an older relative, beware of the dangers.
Stay safe everyone. And check on people who may need help in your street.
