EVENTS are being cancelled across the county amid coronavirus concerns.
This comes as the Government is expected to move into is "delay" phase which attempts to limit the spread of the virus, called Covid-19.
This means the Government will start switching to tactics aimed at delaying its spread, rather than containing it.
In the "delay" phase, "social distancing" measures will be considered - which could include restrictions on public gatherings and people being told to work from home.
These are the events so far. We will keep updating this list.
- Spring Spectacular, which was due to be held at 2pm on March 15 at the Meridian Centre in Peacehaven, has been postponed.
- Brighton Metropolitan College’s new extension opening, which was due to be held between March 16-21, has been cancelled.
- The Kid’s Festival, which was due to be held on April 18 and Sunday 19 in Hayward’s Heath, has been postponed.
There are eight people from Brighton and Hove who have tested positive for the virus.
There are also three people in the West Sussex authority who have tested positive.
However, there are no confirmed cases in the East Sussex authority.
Eight people in the UK have died from the disease so far.
