Police probe suspected rape as woman is found unconscious
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was found unconscious.
Police were called to Boundary Road, Portslade on Sunday night.
They were called at 11.15pm after the woman was found.
She had to be taken to hospital, where she is still receiving treatment.
Officers remain at the scene, and the woman in her 20s is receiving specialist support.
The force said a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape after the incident, which took place at about 11.15pm.
Officers said the suspect is known to the woman.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to report it on the Sussex Police website or call 101.
