Leroy Griffiths has left Lewes and signed a short-term deal with League One side Gillingham.
The former QPR striker links up again with new Gills boss Mark Stimson, who he played under at Grays Athletic.
Griffiths scored once in seven appearances for the Rooks after joining from Corinthian-Casuals last month and he was a late substitute in Saturday's 3-0 FA Cup exit at Mansfield.
His previous spell in League football saw the 30-year-old score three goals in 36 appearances for QPR before being released at the end of the 2002-03 season.
Stimson contacted Lewes manager Steven King on Sunday and asked him to waive a seven-day approach for Griffiths, who was not on a contract at the Dripping Pan.
