A RESTAURANT is offering free food to the homeless on Christmas Day.
A Taste Of Sahara in Western Road, Brighton, has partnered with the Brighton and Hove Muslim Forum to give
a “silver service” for homeless in the city at no cost.
Sabri Ben Ameur, the owner of the Lebanese and Moroccan restaurant, said: “Christmas is one of our busiest times for us, but it makes me think about those who are homeless and alone.
“Nobody should be alone, unappreciated and we must look out for each other regardless of race, belief and culture.”
Tariq Jung, the chairman of the Brighton and Hove Muslim Forum said: “We should always remember and reflect on the challenges in our society, as we see homelessness on the increase in our city and around the country.
“Our country is stronger because of our diverse culture and vibrant communities.
“This is what makes our city great.”
