A GREEN candidate has called for the end of prison sentences against drug users and said the war on drugs has “failed”.
Alexandra Phillips, who is running for the Brighton Kemptown seat, said more rooms for drug use should be made available in the city to ensure users are safe.
And she said needle exchange programmes should be rolled out in prisons.
Ms Phillips made the suggestion at the European Civil Society Forum on Drugs event.
