A FORMER chocolate shop is now on the market.
Choccywoccydoodah in Meeting House Lane closed down in May after 25 years.
The chocolate and cake shop in The Lanes, renowned for its wild and wacky creations, put up a sign in its window telling customers that is has ceased trading.
Owners blamed “challenging trading conditions”.
And now the venue has been listed for rent by estate agents Graves Jenkins.
It will cost just under £50,000 a year, which works out at £4,166 a month.
That does not include £23,199 in business rates a year.
The unit is formed over two floors.
A description reads: "This venue is situated in the centre of the famous Brighton Lanes pedestrianised area, adjacent to the Bath Arms and a short walking distance to Brighton Square, Prince Albert Street and Market Street.
"The Lanes is renowned for its mix of individual retail businesses, including many types of jewellery outlets, gift shops, specialist fashion plus a range of popular bars, restaurants and cafes.
"The area is particularly busy during the summer months, attracting a high volume of tourist trade."
