THE WALL of a pub garden was destroyed after cars crashing nearby ploughed into it, witnesses say.
The wall and fence of an outside seating area at Le Village pub in St James's Street, Brighton, was heavily damaged in the incident.
Police cordoned off the scene, leaving behind several stray bricks and a snapped and warped metal fence.
A witness said he saw two cars crash at the junction between St James's Street and High Street before one of the cars smashed into the pub's wall.
Another passerby said: "There is a lot of damage, it looks really nasty.

"The car must have hit it, and it must have hit it quite hard to do that."
An AA van was attending the incident when The Argus visited the scene at 5.40pm.
