PETER KYLE’S reselection ballot has been called off.
Labour Party secretary Alison Dean for the Hove emailed members the news last night after it was announced the nation will go to the polls on December 12.
Mr Kyle, the Labour MP for Hove and Portslade, would have had to endure five ballots of branch party members asking whether they want him to face a reselection battle.
But the ballot meetings - as well as other Labour Party meetings - have been called off as members prepare for a gruelling six-week election campaign.
