EVER wanted to build and launch your own rocket? From 11am and 4:30pm children get the opportunity to design, build and test-fly their rockets. Launch your missiles on the beach... the record so far is 120 metres in the air. After the rocket beach fun, you could take the model rockets on a further flight on BAi360 with a 20 per cent discount on tickets. Capture a shot of your children holding their rockets at 450ft above the city. Tickets are £6 per child for the class.
Pirate Cruncher characters story time at 450ft

ADAPTED from the best-selling picture book, Captain Purplebeard and his crew set off to find an island packed with treasure. And they want to tell you all about it. This exclusive half-term event will see the crew from “The Pirate Cruncher” board the British Airways i360 Viewing Tower and recall their hilarious and exciting story of when they set sail for treasure. At 450ft and with the view of the sea in the background, this exciting, hilarious and comically gruesome tale is a treat for children and adults alike. Tickets are available online.
Pumpkins on the Pod

WITH the spooky celebration fast approaching, BA i360 is on the hunt for the best carved pumpkins that its visitors can offer. The competition features four age categories for ages five to eight, nine to 11, 12 to 15 and 16 plus. Participants should bring their decorated pumpkins to West Beach Bar and Kitchen at BA i360 by midday on Wednesday October 30. Each category will have two runners up prizes and one winner; these will be announced later in the afternoon on October 30.
Brighton Science Festival
MORE than 50 events are happening around the city this half-term as part of Brighton Science Festival. Children and their parents get the opportunity to code robots, handle animals, learn science songs, cook with chemicals and much more. There will also be plenty of spooky science for Halloween involving gruesome experiments, macabre crafting workshops and eerie escape room games. Events run until November 3.

The residents of Preston Manor are in mourning. The Lord and Lady of the house have passed away and their will, together with a legendary treasure, have vanished. A top detective has been hired to investigate, and you and your team are here to assist in this mysterious mission. Can your team solve the case and find the missing treasure?
